"Preppies" - 1984

Reader Allan tipped me off to this one also. I admit to not watching it (just fast forwarded to the scene to cap) so I'm not sure who the guy in briefs is. According to the IMBD it is probably Steven Holt or Peter Brady Reardon. In my heart of hearts I hope it is Peter Brady Reardon. I think it's hilarious he went with that name professionally instead of just Peter Reardon (which, admittedly, comes with it's own set of problems). I think his parents hated this guy.

       I admit I never dormed in college but would 3 straight guys really be this comfortable with one      another?



 And would a group of straight guys really play strip poker without woman present in the smallest possible room? And if they do, can I watch?

    Are the briefs really white ? They looks as in a pastel color...

      They are more obviously white in the movie ... the source is kind of washed out ... I thought the same thing when I saw the pics, but had no doubt when watching the scene

    Yes, in 1984, such comfort among dudes was perfectly normal (even though I was very young back then, I never personally experienced this). By the time I entered college (1996) and beyond, there is no way the males are comfortable around each other like this. The boxer and way-too-modest craze had already begun by my college days.

    Guys in their underwear while sharing a room with other guys is no big deal. I did just a few weeks ago, while on vacation with a buddy. We shared a hotel room, with separate beds of course! Every night, I just stripped down to my tighty-whities and climbed into bed -- usually laying there with no sheet or blanket on me (it was warm in Florida!). I guess my buddy was a little more modest, as he slept in a boxers (or a pair of shorts, I'm not sure) and a T-shirt. Every morning, I walked to the bathroom and around the room -- and even out onto our room's balcony -- in just my white briefs, hanging out like this until I got motivated to shower and dress. In the evenings, I also hung out in nothing but my underwear if we watched TV before sleeping. The entire week, my buddy never seemed phased or bothered by my "attire" (or lack there of). He did make a comment one morning, when he noticed that there was a cool sunrise coming up over the ocean's horizon, easily seen from our balcony. He quickly grabbed his camera and asked if I would take his picture with the sunrise in the background. Still in just my tighty whities, I said, "Sure," so he handed me his camera. As we turned to walk out onto the balcony, he glanced down at me and said, "It's ok if your in your undies." It's like he was giving me permission to walk outside onto the balcony in nothing but my underwear. In reality, I had been doing that all week, knowing that I was in full view of anyone who happened to be out on the public beach at that moment! So we stepped onto the balcony and I took a few pics of him. As we stepped back inside and I handed his camera back to him, he said, "Want me to take a few pictures of you?", and he started snapping pics of me. "Dude! I'm in my underwear!" I put my hands down in front of my crotch and acted embarrassed. He laughed and said, "Don't worry, it's just from the waist up." He showed me the pics on the digital camera, and he was correct as you could not see my underwear. Being silly, I said "Maybe you should take pics of me in my tighty whties for my Facebook page -- it might get me some dates with the ladies!" We both laughed. It was nice to be comfortable and hang out with a buddy, and not be embarrassed of him seeing me in my underwear.

    Would str8 guys in college hang in their dorm in underwear together? Of course, It happened every day in my college dorm. Guys would come out of their rooms in their underwear and walk to the showers down the hall. Would str8 guys play strip poker together with no women around? On a guys nights where alcohol was present, you bet.
