Wyatt Knight (and others) - "Porky's Revenge" - 1985

Hmmm ... Porky's is kind of an odd series of movies. There were three of them (Porky's, Porkys2 and Porky's Revenge). I think these movies may have kicked off the 80's teen sex flicks (although I could be wrong). The first Porky's was a huge hit and was pretty risque for the time (actually it would be pretty risqué now too). Here's the thing though, while these movies were, no doubt, meant to appeal to a young male audience they were filled with male nudity. All of them. Matter of fact, the ratio of male to female nudity wasn't even close (except for maybe the first movie). And it wasn't just quick shots either. They were generally long set pieces. And usually groups of guys together (matter of fact all three movies had lengthy scenes of goups of naked guys together). Full frontal? No problem. And again, not quick shots (at least the 2nd one, my memory isn't great on all of them). Are they any good? Nope ... and the older you get the more excruciatingly bad they seem to get. Are they incredibly sexist? God, yes. Homophobic? Check! Group of guys that seem to enjoy being naked with each other? No problem! The third movie FINALLY had tighty whities in it and, beside the group scene (yes, they eventually get naked while the girls stay in swimsuits) in undies at the pool, they had the good taste to get the (arguably) best looking guy in the bunch for a separate scene. Oh by the way .. these guys are all supposed to be teenagers ... yeah. And why are they wearing their socks to skinny dip?
