I saw Call Me By Your Name the other day which I thought was excellent, however Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer, the two leads are always shown wearing boxers, even though the film is set in 1983! :,(.
As far I as I recall boxers are consistent with descriptions in the book. I was a bit surprised though too.
One of the best recent scenes! Even tho I think he is hot, he doesn't seem like lead material but it was a crude low budget film.
