Hmmm ... Porky's is kind of an odd series of movies. There were three of them (Porky's, Porkys2 and Porky's Revenge). I think these movies may have kicked off the 80's teen sex flicks (although I could be wrong). The first Porky's was a huge hit and was pretty risque for the time (actually it would be pretty risqué now too). Here's the thing though, while these movies were, no doubt, meant to appeal to a young male audience they were filled with male nudity. All of them. Matter of fact, the ratio of male to female nudity wasn't even close (except for maybe the first movie). And it wasn't just quick shots either. They were generally long set pieces. And usually groups of guys together (matter of fact all three movies had lengthy scenes of goups of naked guys together). Full frontal? No problem. And again, not quick shots (at least the 2nd one, my memory isn't great on all of them). Are they any good? Nope ... and the older you get the more excruciatingly bad they seem to get. Are they incredibly sexist? God, yes. Homophobic? Check! Group of guys that seem to enjoy being naked with each other? No problem! The third movie FINALLY had tighty whities in it and, beside the group scene (yes, they eventually get naked while the girls stay in swimsuits) in undies at the pool, they had the good taste to get the (arguably) best looking guy in the bunch for a separate scene. Oh by the way .. these guys are all supposed to be teenagers ... yeah. And why are they wearing their socks to skinny dip?
Nick Hundley - Baseball - San Diego Padres (catcher)
Since my home team (Reds) are in the baseball playoffs here are some pics of catcher (yes, I am not making the obvious joke) Nick Hundley in the locker changing and wearing what looks to be one incredibly tight pair of underwear. Thanks to a reader who alerted me to this.
Ryan Pinkston - "Tower Prep" - 2010
Ryan can actually be a good looking guy (as shown in 1st pic) but for this show they have him decked out as uber nerd which does him no favors. Ryan looks pretty young here but is actually 22 years old.
Gordon McDonald - "Brain Damage" - 1988
I don't have the energy to do the write-up this movie deserves so I am just going to post the pics of Gordon McDonald (who has a kid with Holly Hunter, apparently) and I will do a write-up when I post pics of Rick Hearst from the film. The movie was generally suffused in a dark blue light so I lightened a few of the caps for easier viewing.
Hmmm ... tide is turning?

In Defense of Tighty Whities
Finding, curating, and selling quality goods, while educating guys on what it is they're actually buying, is Bureau of Trade's mission and one they do quite well. Each week the site is bringing GQ readers thoughtfully selected items for all of life's needs.
The first pair of Jockeys was designed in 1934. To this day, no better, simpler or (arguably) more elegant scaffolding for the manparts has ever been conceived. Yup. Elegant.
Like it or not, we live in the era of the skinny jean--and that requires a rethinking of the way we gird our loins. Long gone are the days when men could drape their bathing suit areas with loose-fitting boxers that swam freely in their Jnco brand leg-sails. Be honest with yourself: boxer briefs, a so-called acceptable compromise, lose their grip on the legs and bunch up at the pockets. Where to turn? Commando? Far too severe on your soldiers (privates?). It's time to reach into the back of the top drawer and pull out a classic: the Jockey Y-front brief. Yes, the snug caucasians. Why Y? For "improved masculine access," as the original ad copy euphemized. Developed by Cooper Inc.'s Arthur Kneibler in 1934 and unveiled a year later at Marshall Fields in Chicago, the Y-fronts--called "jockeys" due to the way they mimicked the support of a jockstrap--quickly brought the party to the world's pants: the initial order sold out, and Cooper was forced to rent a plane to handle the volume of the next shipment. The company changed its name to Jockey International, and its products have been supporting men ever since. Naturally, they're available in a wide swath of colors and fabrics, but we stand by the crisp, honest white cotton originals. Buy them in bulk and beat the bunch. - Micah Fitzerman-Blue
