Reese Madigan - "American Shaolin" - 1991

Posted this video awhile ago but realized I never put up pics. This scene deserves both pics and vid. During a martial arts fight one of the guys depants the other guy. The crowd roars with laughter while the guy just lays there like an idiot. He finally scampers away from the crowd, dignity (not) intact.

 Going for the belt!

  1. I confirm the name of the actor.
Just to say. I never heard about this movie before you posted the video. And this video made discover your weblog. The begening of something huge !!! The scene is just perfect. Thank you for the captures.
Earlier in the movies (3 or 5 minutes before) the same thing happens to another guy, but in private training. The guy is not so hot and wearing colored briefs. Appreciate the director choose the good one to put on him white briefs.
If you have a look on the script, http://www.imsdb.com/scripts/American-Shaolin-King-of-Kickboxers-II.html You see the writer did not notice anything about underwear. He writes the guy is "bare ass" and the audience mainly chocked. But the director shooted the scene with underwear and the audience laughing.

  2. Nice close-up of some well-formed and filled tighties.

  3. I love a guy who decides to wear his tightest pair of tighty whities and then wears flimsy karate pants over them when he's going to be in front of a huge crowd of people. Comfy as they might be to wear, they're probably not fun to be seen in... but it's sure fun to see him in them.

  4. Can anyone figure out just HOW the opponent got the pants to fall down so easily? I get that he removed the karate belt, but karate belts are not like regular belts. They're really not meant to hold your pants up. Are we just supposed to believe that the guy was foolish enough to think that he could use a karate belt to secure karate pants that were way too big for him? Or did I miss something that the other guy did to cause them to fall down (like yanking on them or pulling on the drawstrings)?

Not that I'm complaining, of course. It's still a great scene. But it's been something I've always been curious about with this scene.

    1. Yes it is absolutely unrealistic. But sooooo sexy. It's not that belt that holds the pants up in a martial art outfit. And even if it was, the gloves worn by the fighters don't help take it down that quickly. Last inconsistency: when the pants are on the ground and the villain pulls on the pants to twirl his unfortunate opponent. None of this can happen in reality. But I thank the screenwriters for having dared this fantasy, as well as the director and the actor who agreed to go after this incredible scenario.
