I think they have their actors wear these briefs because they don't have a brand name or logo printed/sewn on the waistband. If there was, they'd have to pay for it, right? Keep these posts coming though! I'm not complaining.
That's the reason they don't have brand names on them, but they obviously make them wear briefs to add to the "effect" of them being pantsless (seriously, boxers are no different than shorts we all wear), and for the hope of ratings. I'm amazed you find all these scenes. I'd love to know your sources.
