1313 - Wicked Stepbrother

Same dialogue as in all Decoteau movies: "Hello" "Is someone there" x 30.

    1. Yeah. I know I should just "appreciate" them for the guys in briefs but Decoteau ticks me off. Each one just get's lazier and lazier. I know there isn't a huge budget or time but even with the constraints he has he doesn't try. There is never a script to speak of (Hello? Who's there?), the direction is as static as you can get and in some of the movies ("night of the widow") he doesn't even bother to get the guys into their undies (except one guy). The budget for his movies is one million dollars. He doesn't need to pay for a set (who's house is that?), wardrobe budget is minimal, all the actors are unknown and can't cost much. There are no special effects to speak of (see "Cougar Cult" for a good example of that). And I sincerely doubt there is a script writer per se; there is more dialogue and depth in a typical Archie's comic (no offense to Archie!). If these movies do OK (and they must) I wish someone that cared a bit more about the movies would take up the baton and make some that could entertain as well as arouse. Rant over.
